Introduction
This Privacy Policy describes how Michael Fackerell's automated video publishing system (referred to as "the application") handles data. This application is a private, non-public automation tool used exclusively by Michael Fackerell to manage and publish video content to personal social media channels.
The application is not a consumer-facing service. It does not accept sign-ups, process payments, or collect personal information from visitors or the general public.
Data We Collect
Video metadata: The application stores video titles, descriptions, tags, and publication status in a local database for the purpose of tracking upload history and preventing duplicate uploads.
OAuth tokens: YouTube API OAuth2 refresh tokens are stored locally on a private server. These tokens are used solely to authenticate API calls to YouTube on behalf of authorized channel owners. Tokens are never shared, transmitted, or exposed to third parties.
API keys: Third-party API keys (for services such as OpenAI, Pexels, and Replicate) are stored in environment variables on a private server and are used only for their intended purposes within the application pipeline.
Data We Do Not Collect
The application does not collect, store, or process any of the following:
- Personal information of website visitors or YouTube viewers
- Cookies or tracking identifiers
- Location data, browsing history, or analytics data
- Payment information or financial data
- User account credentials (other than the operator's own credentials)
Third-Party Services
The application integrates with the following third-party services, each governed by their own privacy policies:
- YouTube Data API v3 by Google LLC — for uploading videos. Subject to Google's Privacy Policy.
- OpenAI API — for generating video metadata. Subject to OpenAI's Policies.
- Pexels API — for sourcing stock video footage. Subject to Pexels' Terms.
- Replicate API — for AI image generation. Subject to Replicate's Privacy Policy.
Data Storage and Security
All application data is stored on a private server. Access to the server is restricted to authorized personnel only. Environment variables containing API keys and OAuth tokens are not committed to version control or exposed through any public interface.
Data Retention
Video metadata and upload logs are retained indefinitely for the purpose of maintaining upload history and preventing duplicate publications. OAuth tokens remain valid until explicitly revoked by the authorized user or by the token issuer.
Children's Privacy
This application does not knowingly collect information from children under 13 years of age. The application is not directed at children and does not provide any services to minors.
Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Changes will be posted on this page with an updated effective date.
